"Shruti and I wrote a paper together—it was my first academic publication, and my first experience of writing with another person. The subject matter drew on the feminist care ethic and especially the thinking of Donna Haraway. Our paper keeps being read and cited and I do think it reads beautifully.

Upon reflection I think working with Shruti on that paper was a process of ‘becoming-with'. Shruti has the ability to respond and create through multiple registers: She is cognitively a skilled and thoughtful scholar and at the same time she is sensitively alert and open to feeling into words and spaces, allowing new forms to manifest. Shruti works methodically, tightening meaning without losing nuance. She makes suggestions gently without any egoic agendas. She is a rare and wonderful being to work with.

The second time I worked with Shruti she proofed my PhD. She was already familiar with my work and my writing strengths and weaknesses. It was a relief to have her theoretical insights and support and to know that the grammar would be perfect."
